What Marketo tracks, and how you decide what to sync to Salesforce


In a client meeting last week, we discussed the types of activities that can be tracked by MKTO and what they wanted to sync back to SFDC.

The purpose of the sync is that the sales people can then see the result of the contact’s/lead’s interaction with our digital assets.

Some people decide that they only want to track (to SFDC) when a form is filled in.

 Others track everything (see the image/above).  Be careful, this can chew up your SFDC storage space.

The point is, this can be customised, so you can decide what your sales folks can see…

These will appear in the activities section for EACH contact or lead in SFDC.
